For a study and knowledge of the climate that concerns to our Town, the Weather station of Cossonda began to work the January 1st of 2001. One has been believed advisable to hope that four years of taking of data are marked to begin to make them public, although the period is very short to take it like certainly representative data, if that can orient to us in the classification of our climate.

Said this we can classify it:

ˇ According to the Lang's criterion:

Is based on dividing to the total precipitation average of the year for the average temperature of the year.

To the value that it gives it applies the following criterion to him:

0<Lang<20 = Desert

20<Lang<40 = Barren climate

40<Lang<60 = Humid climate of steppe and savannah

60<Lang<100 = Humid climate of thin forests

100<Lang<160 = Humid climate of dense forests

Lang>160 = Superhumid climate of meadows and tundres

For Cossonda:

Total precipitation average of the year = 592 liters

Average temperature of the year = 14.99 ēC

Reason why 592/14.99 = 39.49 that it classifies to us in barren climate in transition to humid climate of steppe and savannah.

ˇ According to the Martone's criterion:

Is based on dividing to the total precipitation average of the year for the average temperature of the year plus whole number 10.

To the value that it gives it applies the following criterion to him:

0<Martone<5 = Desert

5<Martone<10 = Semi-empty

10<Martone<20 = Mediterranean Steppes and dry countries

20<Martone<30 = Region of olive trees and cereal

30<Martone<40 = Humid surface (Meadows and forests)

Martone>40 = Superhumid

For Cossonda:

Total precipitation average of the year = 592 liters

Average temperature of the year = 14.99 ēC

Reason why 592/(14.99+10)= 23.69; that classifies in region of olive trees and cereal to us.
