We were in the Iberian Somontan, on the
base of the Ridge of
Mountains of Algairen, to 41º 22’ of north latitude
and 1º 18’ of west longitude, having the door of the Town Council to 618 meters
of altitude on the level of
the sea and the highest part of the urban helmet to 658.
Politically we belong to the Region of Field of Carignena, one of the 33 regions
of Aragon.
Also we have the luck of being one of the 14 towns that conform
from 1932 the Denomination of Wine Origin "Campo de Cariñena".
The January 1st of 2001 we lived in this
Town 415 people,
216 men and 199 women, whom with 31.68 km2 of municipal term which we
have to us a density of 13.1 hab/km 2

census of industrial licenses of 1986 there were 9 licenses, of them 3 people in
the metallic product manufacture (except machinery and means of conveyance), 2
industries of nutritional products, drinks and tobacco , 1 in nutritional
product industries, drinks and tobacco and 3 in the construction. In the one of
10 years later, 1996, there were 8 licenses, 1 in the metallic product
manufacture (except machinery and means of conveyance), 1 in the construction of
machinery and mechanical equipment, 2 in nutritional industries of products and
drinks, 1 in industries of other nutritional products and tobacco and 3 in the
construction.
In the
census of the 1990 premises it had declared 24 on which 61 distributed people of

2000 the ground were divided, of 3168 h, in 1443 h of dry land, of which 127 of
herbaceous, 101
in fallow and 1115 of ligneous, 131 h irrigated land,
of which 6 of herbaceous and 125 of ligneous, 1025 h logable forest land in dry
land, 112 h grass uncultivated, 100 h unproductive, 257 no agriculturists and
200 h of rivers and lakes. There were also 245 agrarian operations.
In 2000
there was in Cossonda 1 ovine operation with 430 ewes. Also that year 137
vehicles registered in the
town
existed.
In the
Urban Cadastre of 1989 there was a total of 610 urban parcels, 534 with
construction and 76 in paving, making a surface of 196,000 m2 , in
670 urban units, with a total value of 4,911,000 E, 7329 by urban unit .
In the census of
1990 buildings there were 319 registered buildings, 17 of them destined to
no-familiar house, 16 of 1 plants and 1 of 3, in addition to be destined 1 to
agrarian production and 16 to other aims, and 302 to familiar house, 36 of 1
plants, 105 of 2 and 161 of 3, of which 123 were destined exclusively and 179
mainly, 172 destined to agrarian production and 7 without that destiny. Of the
302 buildings destined to familiar house, 297 contained 1 house, 3 contained 2
houses and 2 contained 10 houses. The property of those 302 buildings was
distributed in 291 for physical people, 5 for organisms public, 1 for
institution deprived, 3 for community of proprietors and 2 for societies.
Also in the census
of 1990 we found that of the 302 buildings destined to familiar house the state
it was good in 119, deficient in 153, bad in 29 and ruinous in 1. 292 had
electrical energy, 2 solar energy, 294 running water, 207 central hot water, 16
central heating, 295 water evacuation and 54 garage. 193 were constructed before
year 1900, 8 from 1900 to 1920, 3 from 1921 to 1940,
3 from 1941 to 1950, 3 from 1951 to 1960, 4 from 1961 to 1970, 43 from 1971 to
1980, other 43 from 1981 to 1990 and 2 were in construction.
In the census of 1991
houses there were in Cossonda 328 familiar houses, 164 main and 164 no-main,
with 136 secondary and 37 unemployed people. Of 328 houses 306 they had running
water in the house, 18 in the building and 4 did not have. 230 had hot water,
309 electrical energy, 257 skillful bath or, 326 cook, 297 toilet in the house,
6 toilet in the outside, 18 individual heating, 271 movable apparatus heating
engineer and 99 telephone. Also we found that of these 328, 17 had up to 30 m2,
139 from 31 to 60, 103 from 61 to 90, 45 from 91 to 120, 19 from 121 to 150, 2
from 151 to 180 and 3 of more than 181 m2. The regime of possession
of these houses for this year was of 261 in property, of which 125 were paid,
130 were by inheritance and 6 had pending payments, 25 were in gratuitous or
semi-gratuitous property, 4 in rent and 38 of another way.
