In the summer of year 2000 one began to work, thanks to the initiative of the then Councilwoman of Culture of Cossonda, María Jesús Navarro, and of a group of people, in a exposition of old photography that would be shown in "las Fiestas de Verano" of that year with around 50 photographies that the neighbors of Cossonda donated electronically, leaving them in photographic paper for its later one scanned and digital adjustment.

 The success harvested in this exposiition raised one second part with one year of time, that would be shown in "las Fiestas de Verano" of 2001 with sections of old video and comparative photographies, and that the neighbors overflowed donating more than 400 photographies, reason why in July of 2001 was necessary to create the Photographic File of Cossonda to be able to work with as much material.

This file at the moment is divided in the File of Old Photography, until 1986, with 667 photographies, and in the File of Contemporary Photography, later to this date, with 339, until the moment.

 In him the photographies keep that represent our town and their inhabitants at some moment of the history of last the 150 years and him leave all the photographies that illustrate this Web.

We have selected of this file almost 200 photographies for a new exposition, in this case virtual, so that we pruned to enjoy all these images in our Web site.

 We want that this exposition is an alive site that we pruned to create between all and for that reason we invited to you to that if does not leave some that in the previous expositions you liked or if you want the electronic unloading of some of them us you say it in info@lugardecosuenda.org or in el Banco la Plaza – Cossondan Forum.

Also you can contribute electronically giving commentaries on the photos or donating some unpublished photography in the File in patrimonio@lugardecosuenda.org so that we place it in the exhibition.
